TMS Training Courses

Scheduled Training

This is the calendar of TMS training for Fall 2010. Due to reduced attendance we do not plan any Southern California training through the end of this year. If you are unable to attend these classes but still need training, please email support@tmstraining.com with your Agency Name, # of Persons Needing Basic TMS Training, and # of Persons Needing Advanced TMS Training, and Agency Contact Information (phone & email). If we receive sufficient interest we will be happy to schedule additional training.

We are currently developing our Basic TMS class for live online presentation. This may be a preferable option for those who are dealing with reduced budgets for outside training. We will post online training opportunities this winter.

In-house training for individual agencies is also available priced on a time and materials basis based on the services requested. In-house training can be presented either with the instructor on-site or over a live internet connection. The on-site Instructor presentation is typically more costly per person than classroom format training. Please contact us for additional information.

Reservations must be requested by completing a Reservations Request Form for each student & class. Reservations are scheduled on a first come - first served basis using the submission of the request form as a time stamp.

Note: Your agency must be a subscriber to the TMS Software Support Service to be eligible to attend TMS training.

Payment Policy

Payment is by cash, check or credit card on or before the first day of training. Please make your check payable to: Training Innovations, Inc. Please contact Doortje Werner at dwerner@tmstraining.com with any questions regarding payments or billing.

Credit Card Charges: Credit card payments must be completed one week before the beginning of the class. We do not accept credit card payments at the training site. We contract with the PayPal service to process credit card payments. This is a secure process and you do not need a PayPal membership to use this service. A 3% processing fee is added to all credit card transactions. This is the fee charged by PayPal. Training Innovations does not receive any additional fees for providing this payment option. Please contact Doortje Werner at dwerner@tmstraining.com to arrange for credit card billing.

* Group Discounts Available

For all courses except In-Agency training, we offer a 10% discount for groups of 3 or more attending the same class from the same agency.

** Prerequisites

Advanced TMS Millennium: Experience using TMS Millennium and prior completion of the Basic TMS Millennium Course is required. Student familiarity with using TMS Millennium is assumed and will be not be taught in this class. You must be familiar with performing the following:

If you are new to TMS Millennium, you should complete the Basic class and use TMS for awhile before attending the Advanced class.

Types of TMS Training

Training Innovations provides the following types of training on the TMS Training Management System:

Live TMS Online Seminars (Train from your computer via the Internet)

We offer live online presentations for the Basic TMS class and various TMS update seminars. These classes let you train from your desk. Save time and money while receiving live training from the same instructors that teach our classroom training. Tuition cost varies by class. Hardware requirements for online training are posted here.

Basic TMS Millennium (In your agency)

This is the standard training for new purchasers of TMS. Training covers a TMS overview, all TMS data entry modules, running reports, and creating memos. This can be presented as either 8-hour or 16-hour training course is for up to 5 persons from your agency. It is given at your agency using your computer and can include hands-on training at your option. Content of the course is customized to the needs of your agency. This training is billed on a time and materials basis with firm quotes available on request.

Basic TMS Millennium (Classroom)

This is the standard training course designed for Training Managers with agencies that are already using TMS. Training covers a TMS overview, all TMS data entry modules, running reports, and creating memos. This 16-hour training course is given in a "bring-your-own-laptop" format at a facility provided by a host agency. Training is provided for 25-35 students. The cost for this training is $300 per person. Volume discounts are available for agencies sending 3 or more persons to training.

Advanced TMS Millennium (Classroom)

This is advanced training for persons who are already using TMS Millennium and want to learn how to get maximum benefit from the program. Training covers advanced topics such as "Designing and Implementing Your Training Plan in TMS Millennium" and "Advanced Reporting Techniques". This fast-paced, intensive 8-hour training course is given in a "bring-your-own-laptop" format at a facility provided by a host agency. Class size is 25-35 students and limited to one student per PC. The cost of this training is $200 per person.
